Step 3: Gather your Tools
By now you should have EA SPORTS™ FIFA Online 2 installed and ready to play. Before we move on, it’s important to make sure you’ve got all the necessary tools to proceed making your movie. The main tool we’ll be using is Windows Movie Maker, which is included on most PCs running Windows XP or Windows Vista. Windows Movie Maker will help you edit your movie, add voices, sound effects and music, and to save your movie. To find Windows Movie Maker, simply click Start> All Programs> Windows Movie Maker.
The other tool we’ll need is
FRAPS. FRAPS will allow you to easily capture scenes from EA SPORTS™ FIFA Online 2. You’ll need to download FRAPS from
www.fraps.com. The free trial version will be sufficient for making a EA SPORTS™ FIFA Online 2 movie. Once you’ve downloaded FRAPS, install it on your PC.
Now we’re ready to start on a movie!
Step 4: Writing a Script
Before you film your movie, it’s good to start with a script. To begin your script, you’ll want to decide on some basic elements like your club and storyline. This is a good time to decide what kind of movie you will make.

You can take close up shots of players before a match.

Spice up your movie with a variety of moves like the 360.

Step 5: Storyboarding
It’s usually helpful to use your script to make a rough storyboard before you start filming. The storyboard will give you a good idea of how you want your movie to look, and will help you a lot when you go to take the in-game captures for your video. You can make your storyboard using hand drawings, or with in-game screenshots. You can capture screenshots by pressing the Prt Sc (Print Screen) button. You can access the screenshots from the newly-created folder FIFAONLINE2 in My Documents. However, FRAPS are needed to capture any in-game actions.
It doesn’t have to be perfect. It is just an outline to help you ensure all the good ideas written in your script make a seamless transition into your movie.
Use screenshots or drawn boxes to decide the different looks and angles of your shots. When storyboarding, you can decide who will appear in each shot of the movie, and get a better idea of how to proceed with your capturing and editing.

Additional Tips: Shot Types
You could make your storyboard more interesting by filming the action from different camera views with adjustable height and zoom.
ACTION: Game play is from left to right. Camera focuses more on the player with the ball, rather than off ball movements.
BROADCAST: Game play is from left to right. Camera gives a broader view of the pitch.
DYNAMIC: Game play is from left to right. Camera view changes to follow the ball.
SIDELINE: Game play is from left to right. Camera view is more towards the manager’s view of the game.
TELE: Game play is from left to right. It gives a cameraman’s view of the action.
END TO END: Game play is from top to bottom. Camera view focus more on the player with the ball.
WIDESCREEN: Game play is from top to bottom. Camera view gives a total view of the pitch.

Step 6: Filming / Capturing
Now it’s time to start producing your movie by capturing game scenes from EA SPORTS™ FIFA Online 2.
1. First you’ll want to open the FRAPS application you downloaded earlier.
Then, open EA SPORTS™ FIFA Online 2 and login using your IAHGames Passport Account.
When you have entered the game, you will notice that there are yellow numbers on the top right hand. This indicates that FRAPS is on and is ready to start recording. These numbers will not show up on your captured film.
If you do not see these numbers, it means that you have not opened your FRAPS program. Please open the FRAPS program found in Step 1.

2. Press
F12 on your keyboard at the time you wish to start recording. The numbers on the top right hand will become
red in
color. This indicates that recording has begun. These numbers will not show up on your captured film.

3. Press F12 on your keyboard when you wish to stop recording. The numbers on the top right hand will become yellow color. This indicates that recording has stopped.
Additional Tips: Don’t forget to reference your storyboard to make sure you capture all the scenes you’ll need, and then you can begin editing in Windows Movie Maker.
