First off, grats to Xtreme for doing our region proud, and to windsvin for making it all the way to the semi finals of the Hyundai Motor Cup Finals in Busan!

But now, back to the next tournament, (and also the one with the most enticing purse!) - the Singapore Leg of the One Asia Cup, also known as the STARHUB CUP. Today, we are gathered at the IAHGames ICafe in Funan to determine which teams are going to qualify!

As of now, 29 teams have gathered here, including quite a number of walk in entries - will we see the rising of a new wave of Fifa Players? We will find out soon - watch this space!

1:38pm : Sock is starting his briefing now - introducing to the games the double elimination format (which means that there will be a loser bracket) Hes going to generate the brackets in front of all the gamers,(not before making a dig at the team with yuuoyx & zarates - Team name "yx is handsome") as they watch in anticipation.

2:10pm : Due to the overwhelming response, we have opened up extra sets of competition PCs so that the matches will progress faster.

2:46pm : Sorry about the lack of updates - a stroke of bad luck seems to have hit us as we are faced with numerous technical issues from various machines. However, things have started to stabilize as the winner and loser brackets are eventually formed.

3:16pm : The 2nd round games are underway!! In today's format, the ones who lost in the first round will still have one more chance to progress to the finals - the winner of the loser bracket, will, however, have to defeat the winner of the winner's bracket two times to win!

4:40pm : Its been a hectic one hour here, as we try to make up for lost time from the previous technical difficulties. We have also started uploading pictures into facebook : http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/p...03203&view=all so keep a look out there for more pictures of today's matches

4:45pm : We realise that the update can be quite confusing - no worries, we will upload the actual bracket so that you guys can understand how the double elimination bracket works, after the event.

5:00pm : We are running an extra round of the loser's bracket to decide who will be progressing to the next stage. To shed some light on who are in certain teams, heres a list of a couple of the higher profile gamers (if i dont mention your name, it just means i forgot, not that you're not high profile ok) - ZendenZ (Team V), Key (The Champions) RonnyWilkinson (The Wilkinsons) Zarates (yx is handsome), handsometeam (handsomejoker).

5:30pm : The tournament is pushed into 3rd gear as we near the last stretch of the race. - Who will be the 4 teams that make it to the Starhub cup Finals???

6:15pm : The first 2 finalists for the Starhub Cup will be <yx is handsome> and <Shootoh>. Maybe Zarates regrets naming their team that way now. lol.

7:00pm : The other 2 finalist teams are <PrAwNeD> and <The Wilkinsons> Grats to the 4 teams! They will now be playing to see who is the top 2 v 2 players!

7.30pm : <PrAwNeD> beats <The Wilkinson> and proceeds to the finals of the loser bracket. Now <PrAwNeD> plays <Shootoh> in the loser bracket finals.

7:55pm : <Shootoh> wins the loser bracket finals and advances to the finals, they will be playing against <yx is handsome>.

8:30pm : <yx is handsome> emerges as champion 1-1 (4-3 pen.). The following 4 teams <yx is handsome>, <Shootoh>, <PrAwNeD> and <The Wilkinsons> will qualifiy for the StarHub Cup doubles which will take place at Suntec City on 17th September.
